As organised I can be, giving gifts is an area where I am NOT organised.
I either buy something so far in advance the gift is no longer wanted, needed or is just not 'IN' anymore OR I can be found racing through the shops on the morning of the party, only to get home and find out that the one roll of sticky tape left in the house, has been taken to school without my knowledge, oh and we were due at the party 15 mins ago!
At times like these, I feel like a complete basketcase...
I feel my shoulders tense and the frown lines deepening as I curse myself for leaving the gift buying til the last minute and usually figure out a way to blame my husband ;)
June is a very busy month for us with birthdays, with the most important being sonshines birthday on the 26th and mine on the 27th!
8 yrs ago, there were many phone calls around this time, saying "oh how nice would it be to share your birthday, perhaps the baby will come as a nice birthday surprise for you".
Let me tell you, I went into labour at 5am on the 24th and did not deliver my 10 1/2 lb bundle of joy until 7.16pm on the 26th....there was NO WAY after all of that I was sharing my birthday too, after all, I had just given this baby, 38hrs of my life, not to mention my perineum, pelvic floor and well....maybe that was too much info!
So what am I trying to tell you?
It is my birthday on the 27th of this month and guess who is getting the gift?

ReplyDeleteI'd chose the Spoilt Rotten basket for you, as everyone needs to be spoilt rotten occasionally.
ReplyDeleteCelebrating Success, is the basket i would choose for you Stacey for 2 reasons. 1. you can sit back and realise what a terrific job you have done with Sunny Mummy and how you have helped us out so much. And 2. Celebrating yourself and what a true champion you are.

ReplyDeleteHey Stace,
ReplyDeleteI'd send you the Premier Delux. It's a ready made party. All you would need to do is invite some friends. This would take all the organisation out of your special day. As you are always organising something I thought it might be nice to have a relaxing bday with nothing to do but be your sunny self.
Hi Stace,
ReplyDeleteI would send you the "Reflections" gift hamper, because you share so much of your life that you inspire us all, but I feel that you deserve to have something special to record your innermost thoughts, hopes and dreams that you would like to keep private.
I would send you the "Body & Soul" gift basket....it looks fabulous!! You bless us daily, Body & Soul, so you need to recharge your body and soul after feeding so many of us. ♥
ReplyDeleteI would send you the ♥Heartfelt Thanks♥ basket.. Since joining up with Sunny Mummy you've (unknowingly) helped me start to get my life out of this rut I've been stuck in for awhile. Reading your lovely messages and visiting your website have been highlights for me over the past month and already I'm feeling like the Sun is finally starting to shine through :-D Much love and best wishes for the sisterhood <3 And a happy birthday ;-)
ReplyDeleteI would send you the 'Curled up & Comfy' basket from the pampering range. It would be a perfect basket to unwind with - you could light the candle, curl up on the lounge while enjoying some yummy chocolate and Kahlua ... mmmm bliss & you deserve it!
ReplyDeleteHi Sunny Mummy. After having a wonderful time dreaming over these baskets I would send you the 'Peace and Quiet' basket. I think there are some nicer ones but as a mother of 7 kids it is something I am always wanting and something I think a lot of other mothers need more of! Happy Birthday and thanks for all you do. This is a great competition!

ReplyDeleteDear Stace
ReplyDeleteI would buy you the 'Moulin Rouge' basket. Yes I could get you the 'Mum's Story' for such support and advice you give each of us via your blog and shop but I think that every Mum deserves something just for her on her birthday. I just turned 32 aswell and I know it's the bit of indulgence and dreaming that you want now and then to keep going as a wonderful Mum! Who knows....maybe this could inspire a trip to Paris! Keep up the fantastic work and all the best for the 27th!
